BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Outreach

Alongside research and teaching, I share space science with the public, through public lectures, media appearances, and events built around some of nature’s most spectacular displays.

Onboard Astronomer, Holland America Eclipse Cruise (Aug. 2026)

In August 2026 I sailed as the shipboard astronomer for a two-week Holland America cruise timed to the August 12 total solar eclipse over Iceland. Along the way I gave six public lectures, working from the scale of the universe down to the Sun, the eclipse itself, the aurora, and meteors.
